InPower ETM52 Module Two-Mode Fast Idle Speed Control For Ford and GM With Automatic Transmissions
REPLACEMENT MODULE ONLY - NOT FULL KIT!
The ETM-52 provides basic high idle functions for GM and Ford vehicles. Two modes of fast idle control are provided: Fixed Speed and Automatic. Fixed Speed elevates the engine speed to a fixed rpm value. Depending on the chassis, available fixed fast idle speeds are 1200, 1460, or 1500 rpm. These speeds are set up at installation. Automatic increases the engine speed to the fixed speed rpm value when the battery voltage indicates a low charging condition. Normal idle speed is resumed when the battery voltage indicates a charged condition. The ETM52 includes Chassis Ready Conditions safeguards that must be satisfied before the engine speed can be increased. These enablers include: transmission in Park, parking brake set, vehicle stationary (no speed), foot off service brake, and foot off accelerator. Seven LED indicators are located on the ETM52 module to display the selected operating mode and the safety Chassis Ready Conditions. Wiring terminations utilize an Amp 12-pin Mate-N-Lok connector. A wiring harness is included that contains a OBD-II plug and blunt-cut wires for connecting to chassis functions and the customer provided Fast Idle switch.
